Trisodium citrate dihydrate catalyzed one-pot pseudo four-component synthesis of fully functionalized pyridine derivatives

چکیده

A facile and convenient method has been developed for the one-pot pseudo-four component synthesis of fully functionalized pyridine derivatives from reactions aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile thiols in presence a catalytic amount trisodium citrate dihydrate as an efficient metal-free catalyst aqueous ethanol under refluxed conditions. All were completed within just 45 minutes desired products afforded excellent yields (90–95%). Gram scale production compound was also achieved. Synthesis biologically promising scaffolds, high atom economy, yields, use catalyst, less toxic solvents, no column chromatographic purifications, reusability solvent media, multiple carbon-carbon carbon-heteroatom bond formations are some major advantages this newly protocol.
